This was won by Mark Dickens, a junior at the University of South Carolina , As an organ performance major at USC, Mark studies with William Bates.  Mark writes on his application essay, “There are different outlets for glorifying God.  For some it is welcoming worshippers on Sunday morning; others make sure the heat is on before services; and some even sharpen pencils so visitors can fill out the guest registers in the pews.  Every Christian is called to use their talents to glorify God.  I’m just thankful that my gift of organ playing is as enjoyable for me as it is for others who listen.”
