A highlight of the year for Metropolitan Music Ministries is the festival-type worship service in celebration of sacred music. Since 1986 this annual event has been held for the community, drawing a large audience from various Christian traditions. One of the challenges and visions of MMM from the beginning was to take the beauty, inspiration, and joy of worship in the sanctuary out into the desolate places of Charlotte-Mecklenburg and beyond.

Selections from the vast treasury of church music repertoire feature voluntaries for organ and a brass-timpani ensemble, vocal solos and anthems, with special emphasis upon congregational hymn singing. |

A very popular feature is the Choir of Directors from the area with a guest conductor. |
